The Breath of Life

A seeker asked the master, "What is the air we breathe?"

The master replied, "The air is the breath of life, the human body, the exchange of gases, and the environment."

The seeker asked, "How can air be all these things?"

The master said, "When you inhale, the air becomes your body. When you exhale, your body becomes the air. Carbon dioxide and oxygen dance in harmony with the trees."

The seeker, still confused, asked, "What does this mean?"

The master smiled and said, "Find the place where the breath begins and ends, and you will see that air, body, and environment are one."
